LAa Renardière Bed & Breakfast and Camp Site

Welcome to La Renardière Bed & Breakfast and Rural Camp Site, in the Poitou-Charentes region of France. Set in a tranquil and idyllic 17 acre parkland, overlooking the rolling Charente countryside, La Renardière is a perfect holiday-spot. Whether just for a relaxing or sight-seeing holiday, a home-hunting trip, or en-route to Spain, La Renardière and all the local attractions can make the French holiday of a lifetime. We are set between the market towns of Ruffec and Civray, just a few miles from the N10 highway. The region is said to have the second best weather in France (after the Côte d' Azur)

La Renardière Rural Camp Site is of the 'Certified Location' style, in that we can only accept a limited number of campers onto the two acre camping area at any one time. However, by being open all year, with the numerous on site facilities, the local attractions,  the peacefulness, and the views from the site you are guaranteed a holiday to remember.

The Camp Site has the following features: Electric Hook Up Points (230 volt, 10 Ampere Supply), Drinking Water, Waste Water & Chemical Waste Disposal Points, Two Shower Areas, Washing Up Point, Washing Machine, Wi-Fi access, Grocery supplies and  bread deliveries four times a week during the summer

Take the N10 south towards Angouleme. Take the Maisons Blanches / Sauzé Vaussais exit onto the D948 towards Civray. At Civray take the D1 towards Ruffec. After 8km you will pass a left turn signposted towards Lizant. Take the very next left turn (towards Le Gros Chêne), before crossing the River Charente. Follow this small road up the hill, and La Renardière is on the right before the hamlet of Le Gros Chêne.

La Fosse De Tigne

Hi! welcome to our rural campsite at La Fosse De Tigne in the heart of the lovely Loire Valley, We are situated in the middle of wine country within easy distance of Angers (35km): the principle city of the region and home of Cointreau, Saumur (30km): famous for its Equestrian Schools and Champagne houses and Doue La Fontaine (15km): with its famous Rose Gardens, Trogolodite Villages and world famous Zoo, Le Puy Du Fou is only one hour away.

Camping Kathy and Dave is an inexpensive campsite with modern shower and toilet facilities plus a room solely for campers to use if needed. If you are en route to Spain call in for a safe overnight stop (300km from Le Havre, 500km from Calais) or spend longer with us exploring the Loire Valley's many towns and interesting little villages.

For some years now our dream has been to purchase a house in France with some land, and to open a small campsite. This all came true in February 2003 and after much hard work we are now able to offer camping to visitors.

Camping KathyDave is not a large commercial campsite, but never the less offers electricity for five generously sized pitches, with a choice of a shaded pitch in our orchard or on a grassed area if preferred. At Camping KathyDave we cater for famillies with older children or people looking for a quieter way of life. all are welcome of course, but we have no playground facilities. Our campsite offers modern toilet and shower facilities with a kitchen for washing up, and a room to use if wet. What more could you ask for!!

We are avid members of the camping / caravanning club and also the motor-caravanners club, and when in England we rallied most weekends. Consequently we would like to offer excellent camping facilities to all our fellow members

We can arrange your pet's passport stamp if required, and store your caravan here in our storage facility until you return.

The campsite has electric hook-ups have a European connection with 2 choices of electricity setting. We have comfortably incorporated additions to the site including a hard roadway around the site, Timber Tents, kiddies swings, Cathedral Barn garden, chemical disposal point, vegetable preparation and laundry room, kitchen garden, rotary washing lines, improved and heated shower block and facilities, bottled gas sales, shop and office. We have recently installed a plunge pool to add to our extensive facilities.

From Tours/Bordeaux we are situated off junction 25 of the A10 motorway (signposted 'St Maure de Touraine'). On exiting the toll, at the roundabout take the first exit on your right, the first exit at the next roundabout following the D760, the fourth exit at the third roundabout and then the first exit at the fourth roundabout following the D59 to Ligueil.

As you enter the outskirts of Ligueil you will come to a junction and 'stop' sign - turn right, then left at the next junction taking the D31 to Loches. You will pass the ancient wooden launderette on your right hand side. Head towards Loches for 2km. Follow the government signs for 'Camping' and turn right off the D31 at a crossroads with a white cross. After the bridges and take your first right. You will see our distinctive yellow sunflower sign marking the entrance to the site.
